Road Trip!!!
The girls and I took a road trip with my parents
and sister to Idaho to celebrate my nieces first Birthday!
It was a grueling 10 hour drive in a four door truck but
was well worth it. Everyone did pretty good about being
in cramped quarters for the most part. We stopped by a few
scenic view points and caught a beautiful sunset on Thursday night.
When we finally got to Taylor, Stephanie,
& Kaitlyn's house Kaitlyn warmed right
up to cousin Aubrey. She sat & read books
to her on and off all day.
Saturday was the big birthday bash. Kaitlyn did
really good opening her presents. She really liked
to rip the wrapping paper off of the gifts & throw
it down on the floor.
Just lounging on her mama's lap waiting for
the next gift to be opened.
Sunday morning we got ready to leave.
Kaitlyn was really upset that we were leaving. LOL!
(She really just wanted her mom
since she didn't feel very well)
On the ride home Kiersten sat up front w/ Papa &
Grammie. Hippy even got a great seat on Papa's shoulder!
What a great Papa, patient enough to let his eldest
granddaughter put her stuffed animal on his shoulder.
He let that thing sit there until he fell off.

On the way through Idaho we came across Emmett city.

On the final stretch on highway we detoured to

Snoqualmie Ski resort and played in the snow for little bit.

All in all it was a really fun trip, quick but fun. I love being able to celebrate my nieces and nephews birthdays. And I am thankful to have great parents that will let us squeeze into a truck with them so that we are able to go and celebrate with Taylor, Stephanie, & one year old Kaitlyn!

It was a lot of fun having you guys come down. Thanks for taking the brutal drive down to see us. It really was a great weekend, we just wish it could have lasted longer.

I LOVE THE HIPPO ON GRANDPA'S SHOULDER! CAN YOU IMAGINE AN ENTIRE CITY FULL OF EMMETTS? THAT'S REALLY A TERRIFYING THOUGHT!

What a fun trip! You are lucky to have your parents so close and so helpful! Mine are in Utah and Pete's are in California and most of our siblings are elsewhere so it gets kind of lonely for us sometimes! :(

P.S....yes, it is so weird how fast our kids are growing up! It just solidifies the fact the we are getting older too! I seriously am getting wrinkles!
