It's official....It's FALL!!!!! I'm soooooo excited. The leaves turning red & orange, falling off of the trees onto the ground. The crisp, damp mornings! The warm drinks, hot soups, cozy sweaters & long sleeve shirts. Oh man I could go on forever about the things that I love about fall! I have my bins full of Halloween stuff sitting here ready to be emptied. My house is ready for the decorations of Halloween. My mind is starting to store ideas of things & activities for my Halloween party! I just can't wait to be able to go the pumpkin patch with the my little family & pick our pumpkins to create our jack-o-lanterns. Oh & corn stalks on the front porch with little pumpkins at their feet. LOVE IT!!!

This is what happens when your husband takes his girls on a Daddy daughter date to the fair. They come home with not one, but TWO guitars! What the heck?! What are we suppose to do with them? I mean...we already have 4 guitars for Rock Band & Guitar Hero, now we have two more real ones (not to mention the drum set & microphone that goes with Rock band too). He was so excited about them though. Our friend Davey & his wife won one too. Who knew that someone could actually make one of those rings go on the bottle top, not to mention doing it three times. CRAZY BOYS!!! He we out and bought an amplifier & picks & a "how to" book. The girls are really stoked about it too. They got up this morning & wanted to play around with it. Glad that they have something that they can do together.
Wish me luck on surviving guitar lessons. :)

Water crafts, Harley's, & Last week of Unemployment???!!!
What a great weekend we had! Great weather, great attitudes, & great fun!!! We took the boat & the jet skis to the lake, went on a great Harley ride, & I have an interview tomorrow. The job looks promising. Sounds like I had my last week of not working. So it was a good thing that we were able to have a great weekend.
Aubrey doesn't like to go on the jet skis or in the H2O...but loves to hang out on the boat. She looks mad in this picture but she was really content being co -captain!
Kiersten tried the jet ski with her dad but she thought that he went too fast & did too many tricks so she hopped on with me and had a great time. She loves to sit in the front of the boat & watch everything that is going on around the lake.

So wish me luck tomorrow. I'll keep you posted as to what happens!

The Final Days of Summer....
So with school started & the hot afternoon sun what does a kid want to do? Well swim of coarse. We were all ready to take the pool down this last week & then saw that the weather is suppose to be gorgeous this week so we decided to keep it up for another week. The girls had their friend Camille over today to swim & afterwards we decided to pick the apples & make applesauce. Most of the apples were on the ground but still good so we picked those up too. We have never had so many apples on our tree before. It's been great watching them grow bigger & bigger.
I had to get a ladder to reach the high ones
Sneaking a taste
The after math of slicing and dicing
Just add some H2O & bring to a boil
And walla....applesauce

A Question I ask of you...

What does one do when they have a plethora
of ripe tomato's & yellow squash?
That is the question of the day, each day I go out to my garden & find more & more ripe tomato's & squash. They are coming out of my ears. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that my garden would produce so much! I guess I had a green thumb hidden under all the layers of pale white skin. Who knew? So I need your help. What do I do with them. I'm not a caner (but could find someone to help me, but what do you can)? Can you freeze tomato's? I think that you can freeze squash, but I'm not sure. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!

First Day of School

Well the day has come for the girls to go back to school. Their backpacks have been packed with all of their supplies (& lipstick in Aubrey's) that need to go to school for a week now. They have only expressed a few times that they don't want to go back but last night they were really excited. I love the Enumclaw school district, at the end of the year the kids get to meet their new teacher & are able to see what friends are in their class. It really eliminates the nervousness for the first day. I love it. They already know what class room to go to, what friends will be there, & what their teacher looks like.
Makes me very happy!
When I was walking Kiersten to her class I told her to enjoy her last, first day of elementary school. She gave me a funny look & said "What?" I told her that this would be her last first day @ Westwood Elementary. Next year she'll be at the middle school! (Help me, I'm already freaking out about that...& it's a year away!)

Aubrey did great. One of her friends had a seat saved for her & she was all smiles. I told her to have a great day & that I love her & started to walk away. She said "Mom, you didn't give me a kiss!" Love it. She isn't done with me yet, not embarrassing yet. Kiersten on the other hand was a bit embarrassed that I went to give her a kiss. She just kissed me on the cheek! :(

Sweet girls, growing up too fast.
